Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Docframe. Last updated August 1, 2026. For how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy →

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Docframe (the “Service”), including docframe.ai, docs.docframe.ai, and related APIs or CLI tools, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Docframe provides tools to analyze source repositories and uploaded documents, generate documentation sites, edit content (including with optional AI features), publish documentation on Docframe-hosted URLs, and export static sites subject to your plan.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable. Beta or experimental features may change without notice.

3. Accounts and authentication

You may sign in via GitHub OAuth or other methods we offer. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials and OAuth grants secure.

You must provide accurate account information and promptly update it. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

4. Repositories, uploads, and content

You retain ownership of code, documents, and documentation content you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant Docframe a limited license to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to provide the Service (analysis, generation, preview, publish, and export).

You represent that you have the rights to grant repository access and to upload files, and that Customer Content does not infringe third-party rights or applicable law.

Published documentation may be publicly reachable at the URL you choose. You are responsible for what you publish.

5. AI features

Optional AI editing and generation features may send relevant snippets of Customer Content to third-party model providers to fulfill your requests. Usage is metered by plan credits where applicable.

AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing documentation before relying on it or publishing it.

6. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans (Pro, 3x Pro, and 10x Pro) are billed monthly according to the pricing page at the time of purchase. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.

AI editing credits (1,000 / 3,000 / 10,000 per month depending on plan) reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Export of static sites requires an active paid plan.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel via the billing portal. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.

We may change prices with notice for subsequent billing periods.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service, including by attempting unauthorized access, disrupting service integrity, reverse engineering except as permitted by law, scraping beyond normal product use, or using the Service to distribute malware, unlawful content, or infringing material.

You may not use the Service to violate GitHub’s or other third-party terms applicable to repositories you connect.

8. Intellectual property

Docframe, its branding, documentation engine, themes, and software are owned by Docframe, Inc. and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you.

Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that generated documentation is complete, correct, or suitable for any particular compliance or safety-critical use.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCFRAME AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO DOCFRAME IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law applies.

Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
